Viharamahadevi Park (big playground & open green) and Galle Face Green for running, kites & play.
Rides & games at a Colombo amusement park (e.g. Excel World / Leisure World). Great half-day out.
4x4 jeep safari — leopards, elephants & crocodiles. Exciting for the kids; long day from the villa.
